Tina Gilbertson

Facing ongoing separation in family and the steps to take for healing

Tina Gilbertson is a psychotherapist and consultant specializing in supporting parents unwillingly estranged from their adult children.
She's the co-founder, along with her husband Mike, of the Reconnection Club, an education and support website for estranged parents. Tina also hosts The Reconnection Club Podcast, a show that helps parents understand and address common issues that lead to, and perpetuate, parent-adult child estrangement.
She's been a guest on TV, radio and podcast interviews, as well as being featured in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, Forbes, The Washington Post, and many others.
Tina is the author of two books: “Reconnecting with Your Estranged Adult Child: Practical Tips and Tools to Heal Your Relationship” and “Constructive Wallowing: How to Beat Bad Feelings by Letting Yourself Have Them.”

SPEAKER TWO: Michelle Cassandra Johnson LCSW 500hr E-RYT, YACEP

Michelle Cassandra Johnson LCSW 500hr E-RYT, YACEP

Healing from individual and collective trauma; aligning the mind, body, spirit, and heart.

Michelle C. Johnson is an author, yoga teacher, social justice activist, licensed clinical social worker and Dismantling Racism trainer. She approaches her life and work from a place of empowerment, embodiment, and integration. With a deep understanding of trauma and the impact that it has on the mind, body, spirit and heart, much of her work focuses on helping people better understand how power and privilege operate in their life. She explores how privilege, power and oppression affects the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energy body.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Social Work.
She has worked in several non-profits and also served as an elected official on many non-profit boards of directors.
She teaches workshops in yoga studios and community spaces nationwide. She is a Ted X Speaker, and has her own podcast “Finding Refuge”.
She inspires change that allows people to stand in their humanity and wholeness in a world that fragments most of us. Whether in an anti-oppression training, yoga space, individual or group intuitive healing session, the heart, healing, and wholeness are at the center of how she approaches all of her work in the world.

SPEAKER THREE: Pauline Boss, Ph.D.

Pauline Boss, Ph.D.

Ambiguous Loss: Building resilience when faced with the trauma of loss without resolution.

Dr. Pauline Boss, is Professor Ameritus at the University of Minnesota, family therapist, is a Fellow in the American Psychological Association and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a former president of the National Council on Family Relations.
With her groundbreaking work in research and practice, Dr. Boss coined the term ambiguous loss in the 1970s and since then, developed and tested the theory of ambiguous loss, a guide for working with families of the missing, physically or psychologically. She summarized this research and clinical work in her widely acclaimed book, Ambiguous Loss: Learning to Live with Unresolved Grief.
In addition to over 100 peer reviewed academic articles and chapters, her other books include Loss, Trauma, and Resilience: Therapeutic Work with Ambiguous Loss and Loving Someone Who Has Dementia: How to Find Hope While Coping with Stress and Grief. Her most recent book is The Myth of Closure: Ambiguous Loss in a Time of Pandemic and Change. Her work is known around the world wherever ambiguous losses occur, and thus her books are now available in 18 different languages.

SPEAKER FOUR: Arielle D'Angelo

Raising Awareness For Family Struggles In The LGBTQ+ Community; Support For Individuals & Family Members

Arielle D’Angelo is an LGBTQ+ Self-Love Coach and Founder of We The Rainbow; a fast growing, revolutionary next-level LGBTQ+ community.
Amongst other talents, Arielle is a Master Life and Success Coach, A Master Practitioner in NLP, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique and TIME Techniques. She is a Reiki Practitioner, Certified Holistic Health Coach and Trauma Informed Practitioner.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Arielle is passionate about helping people speak, live and embody their truth. She believes everyone deserves to live a joyful life where they can live and love authentically. Using the techniques and modalities she’s trained in, Arielle helps her clients experience lasting change and transformation on both a subconscious and somatic level. She is not only a powerful voice of love raising awareness for the LGBTQ+ community, but also someone who helps people to claim their authenticity and magic so they can live the life of their dreams.

SPEAKER FIVE: Anthony Jesse, RN

Anthony Jesse

Understanding Bi-Polar Disorder and insights into the realities of life with mental health issues.

Anthony Jesse is an author and free-lance writer currently living in San Diego, California. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied classical guitar, and is also a Registered Nurse.
Anthony’s love for writing has led him to work in San Francisco for a publishing company, and then also in Japan as an English-language editor and a brand consultant. His published work includes creative writing pieces and also a selection of poetry.
Currently Anthony is working on a full-length novel which he hopes to finish and publish later this year.

SPEAKER SIX: Vikki Stark, MFT

Vikki Stark, MFT

Healing from the heartbreak of broken relationships.

Vikki Stark is an internationally known psychotherapist, speaker, author and divorce recovery expert, and is the director of the Sedona Counseling Centre of Montreal.
She is an international guest expert on television and radio related to mental health and emotional well being, notably appearing on NBC’S The Today Show and Oprah Radio, and has also featured in many other media publications.
Vikki also writes a blog called “Schlepping Through Heartbreak”, for Psychology Today.
She’s particularly known for her ground breaking book, Runaway Husbands, which has led her to mentor a worldwide community of women recovering from unexpected divorce.
Her other books include: “Planet Heartbreak: Abandoned Wives Tell Their Stories”, “The Divorce Talk: How to Tell the Kids”, and “My Sister, My Self: The Surprising Way that Being an Older, Middle, Younger or Twin Shaped Your life”.

SPEAKER SEVEN: Barbra Drizin

Preparing for the road to reconciliation: what you need to understand, learn, and do

Barbra is passionate about her work in the field of Family Conflict.
Barbra has worked with Dr. Joshua Coleman since 2019 and is certified as a Coach for Estranged Parents / Grandparents. She has a degree in education, a certificate in Positive Psychology / Core Coaching from San Francisco State University, and continually participates in personal development programs.
Her professional experience includes principal of a private elementary school, director of two International English Language Institutes, Human Resources Manager, and Social Media solopreneur.
Her mission is teaching strategies for living with the pain of family conflict, and reviving and reclaiming a desire for a rich and meaningful life. Her individual coaching process reconsiders life thru the perspective of others, a commitment to learning new skills, and an intentionally crafted note for opening the door to reconciliation.
Other offerings include learning and support groups, webinars, 30 Day Challenges, and facilitator trainings.
She is currently writing a series of children’s stories (with guides for adults) on themes arising from sincere, personal reflection on children and parenting, work in the field of family conflict, and essential skills we may have missed along the way for retaining, repairing, and restoring our relationships.

Yasmin Kerkez

Yasmin Kerkez is a life coach and speaker working in the areas of family estrangement and relationships. Together with her husband, Yasmin Co-founded Family Support Resources, an organization helping transform the lives of all people living with family conflict and estrangement, out of a passion to shine a light on family struggles that are rarely discussed, and uplift and inspire those experiencing these challenges.

From her own journey of family difficulties, Yasmin learned how to embrace circumstances with loving acceptance, overcome grief, and reclaim life. She is now committed to helping others heal from the pain of family conflict and start living again.

Driven by her own experiences and an empathy for others, Yasmin has spent the past fifteen years researching relationships and working on methods of healing and overcoming all forms of family estrangement. Beyond her research on relationships, life coaching, and personal journey, she has earned two degrees; A Science Degree majoring in Microbiology and Human Physiology, and an Art’s Degree majoring in Philosophy and Politics. Yasmin leverages her knowledge in these fields to better understand and explain the intersection between our mental health and our physical health.

Yasmin is devoted to helping people receive the things she believes everyone deserves in life – love, safety, and joy.
